State v. R.C. – Savannah DUI With Child Endangerment Reduced to Reckless Driving
Our client was arrested for DUI in Savannah, GA. However, in addition to the usual stress of a DUI charge, our client was also charged with 3 additional counts of DUI – Child Endangerment for having children under the age of 14 in his vehicle. Following a traffic stop, our client submitted to all requested field sobriety tests and a state-administered blood test that showed a result just above the legal limit.
- This case was pending in Chatham County State Court.
- Chatham County State Court is usually a difficult court to obtain DUI reductions in.
- Child endangerment DUI cases can be very difficult, and carry with them very real dangers in terms of your driver’s license. Each DUI child endangerment charge is a separate DUI for the purpose of your driver’s license.
We obtained a dismissal of our client’s DUI and DUI – child endangerment charges. Our client entered a plea to reckless driving and did not have a suspension of his driver’s license.
